Anna
Owner and Occupational Therapist
I am so thankful for all of the wonderful children and their families I have been able to work with since 2013 when I opened FUNctional Therapy. I have always had a passion to help individuals . While studying at Bellarmine University for my undergraduate and then Spalding University for my Masters program I worked with several Autistic children and their families. This provided me so much knowledge and passion for my future career.
Education has always been an important aspect of who I am and is part of the foundation of our clinic. Outside of work, I love spending time with my husband and two kids. We spend a lot of time outside, love traveling, and being with family and friends.
Amber
Occupational Therapist & Clinical Experience Coordinator
Amber earned her undergraduate degree and Master's of Science in Occupational Therapy from Eastern Kentucky University. She spent her summers during college working at the Kentucky Science Center in their camp program. She has always had a passion for working with children and loves helping them reach their goals. This is evident every day as she demonstrates her creativity and knowledge into her treatment session integrating the client's interests. Amber provides exceptional service at Whitefield Academy and the clinic. In her free time, she enjoys baking, reading, going to concerts, spending time with her family and 2 Australian Shepherds, Cali and Lexi!

Andrea
Occupational Therapist
Andrea graduated from Eastern Kentucky University where she received her Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy. Being able to combine her love of helping children (and their families) with creativity and play is her absolute dream. She loves that she has the opportunity to have fun every day.
In her free time, Andrea loves to have dance parties with her daughter, roller skate, thrift, and hit the gym for some regulating heavy work.
Ashley
Occupational Therapist
Ashley received her bachelor's degree in psychology from Bellarmine University and graduated from Spalding University where she received her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy. She has always had a passion working with kids and considers herself a big kid allowing her to connect with her clients and their interests to make a comfortable and fun environment for learning and growing though client-centered care.
In her free time, she loves to read, cook, train and compete in powerlifting, playing video games with friends, and spending time with her family. She is so excited to be a part of the FUNctional Therapy team and being able to support success for kids and their families.

Caroline
Occupational Therapist
Caroline received her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from Spalding University. She is passionate about helping children develop the skills they need for everyday life through play-based, client-centered interventions. Caroline enjoys creating fun, engaging therapy sessions that build confidence, encourage independence, and support each child's unique strengths and goals while partnering with families throughout the therapy journey.
In her free time, Caroline enjoys making sourdough bread, playing sand volleyball, traveling, going to sporting events, and spending time with her dog, Marcy. She is excited to help children grow, reach meaningful milestones, and make therapy a positive and enjoyable experience for every family she works with.
Eman
Lead Speech Therapist
Born and raised in Lexington, Eman graduated from the University of Kentucky with her Bachelor’s Degree in Communication, Sciences, and Disorders, as well as, her Master’s Degree in Speech pathology.
Eman has always wanted to work with kids and is an extrovert at heart. She found her passion for speech pathology by learning about their role enhancing social interactions. She has recently found a love for helping kiddos with feeding concerns and is so excited to join the FUNctional Therapy team to help more kids and families thrive.
In her free time, she loves to cheer on the UK Wildcats (CATS by 90!!!), watch TV, thrift, hike, and play with her cat, Nacho.

Emily
Speech Therapist
Emily received her bachelor’s degree at the University of Kentucky and her Masters of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology at Northern Illinois University. She is originally from the Chicagoland area but has always hoped to return to Kentucky after graduating. She has always had a passion for working with the pediatric population and providing child-led intervention. Emily is so excited to join the FUNctional therapy team and collaborate with and learn from so many supportive individuals that truly want the best for their clients. In her free time, Emily loves to read, go to concerts, and spend time with family and friends.
Healy
Occupational Therapist & Clinical Director
Healy is originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where she obtained her undergraduate and Master's of Science in Occupational Therapy from Duquesne University. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, hiking, doing yoga, spending time with her family and looking for treasures while thrift shopping.
Healy is one of our amazing occupational therapists that is very passionate and creative when helping her clients. Her favorite treatment areas are executive functioning and emotional regulation. In addition to helping clients and their families, she also enjoys supporting therapists in developing clinical skills!
Katie
Occupational Therapist
Katie received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Bellarmine University and her doctorate of occupational therapy from Spalding University. Throughout her schooling she discovered her passion for pediatrics. She loves to make therapy meaningful and fun for all of those she serves!
In her free time, she likes to go on walks with her corgi Louie, while listening to her favorite podcasts. Her perfect day is one spent trying new coffee shops and visiting stores across Louisville with her husband James!
Katie
Scheduling Coordinator
Katie was born and raised in Louisville, KY. She has always had a passion for helping others and being a part of a team. A proud mom of three and a big believer in the importance of family and connection. In her free time, you’ll often find her spending quality moments with loved ones—whether it's a cozy night in or a get-together with friends. She is a huge dog lover through and through, with three golden doodles at home: Posie, Oakley, and Gilbert. They keep life lively, fun, and full of unconditional love. Life is always busy, but she wouldn't have it any other way!

Liv
Billing Coordinator
Liv was born and raised in Louisville, KY! In 2022, she graduated from the University of Louisville with a Bachelor’s Degree in American Sign Language Interpreting. On weekends, she loves to attend UofL football games and host tailgates for the whole family. Her and her fiancé are the proud owners of two silly cats, Venom and Dusty, who love to play hide and seek throughout the house. Liv is thrilled to be a member of the FUNctional Therapy team and be a part of the journey along with her peers.
Madeline
Occupational Therapist
Madeline graduated from Eastern Kentucky University where she completed her Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy with a minor in Child Development. She always knew she wanted a fulfilling career and loved the creative and holistic aspects of occupational therapy. Madeline loves that she has the opportunity to play every day for work.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, going on walks with her dog, cuddling with her cat, reading, and shopping.
Rachel
Occupational Therapist & Clinical Operations Coordinator
Rachel is originally from Wisconsin where she realized she had a passion for working with children. After recognizing the many amazing ways OTs can support individuals in leading their most meaningful lives, she knew it was something she would love doing every day. She moved down to Louisville for OT school and stayed after meeting so many amazing people. She will always love Wisconsin and the Packers, but most certainly favors the milder winters! She is excited to be part of the FUNctional Therapy team working with so many creative and supportive individuals wo do the very best for their clients adn community. In her spare time she enjoys hiking, traveling to new places, and hanging out with friends, family and her dog, Owen.
Samantha
Patient Care Coordinator
My name is Samantha and I am the Patient Care Coordinator at FUNctional Therapy. Louisville is my hometown, and no matter where I travel, I always end up back in my favorite state, Kentucky. I enjoy drawing, painting, reading (mostly true crime and history), spending time with my family, and watching movies (I am a huge movie-buff). My weird talent is being able to identify movies based on their beginning seconds and sometimes just by the beginning of a background track ( a very useless yet fun talent). Helping people is my greatest passion and I am very excited for the opportunity to do this through a clinical environment. I am extremely creative and look forward to using this in marketing to new patients as well as continued treatment for existing patients. Sondi
Speech Language Pathologist
Sondi has been working with children and families for decades. She earned her Bachelor’s in Elementary Education with a Reading Minor in ’86 and then wore many hats -- wife, Mom, teacher, Odyssey of the Mind coach, school and church volunteer, children’s music director, etc. Ever ready to grow and learn, she began graduate studies at U of L and became a Speech-Language Pathologist. Sondi began her own private practice in 2013 and joined FUNctional Therapy in 2024.
She enjoys creatively teasing out how to help each child grow and feel more confident in who they are and what they are able to achieve. Working with parents and caregivers at the clinic and Harvey Browne Preschool is a favorite part of her day-- modeling, training, and answering questions to empower families once they leave the clinic to apply what they’ve learned together!
She relishes “quiet” time in nature, camping, hiking, reading, gardening, writing, singing, and cooking, and just regularly being in awe of each newly designed sky or landscape. She enjoys making memories with her adult children and extended family and friends. She feels greatly blessed to be a part of this clinic, to work with such wonderful therapists at FUNctional Therapy.
